Shiatu Studies

Shiatsu Studies is a 125 hour certification training, designed to introduce the complete elements of Shiatsu practice to the committed student. Shiatsu is more than a style of bodywork it is an approach to living.

The course is an on-going field of study which will require time committed to study outside of the scheduled classes. It will be presented in five, 3-day weekends. Between weekend classes material will be assigned for study and practise. So that students may self monitor their progress, a series of exercises (homework) and quizzes are included in the provided workbook with an answer sheet.

Students will also be given journal assignments that incorporate specific practical aspects of the work. Journals will be collected each weekend. The exercises and questions will be discussed in class with individual follow-up via e-mail with each student. Online support for assignments between classes will also be available.

The first offering,  an Introduction to Shiatsu will begin to lay a firm foundation for continued study and is also appropriate for students simply desiring to explore an interest in Shiatsu. Additional weekends will be scheduled based on interest and enrollment.
